aha! i have searched it out, and now i know.
most of you won’t remember, but 2 years ago, i moved into my own apt, and ordered telephone service from qwest(then uswest) they told me they were out of available lines, and needed to bury new feeder cable, so i ended up waiting for a month and a half, never seeing a cable burial crew(being a former phone company employee i know what to look for), now to the real meat of this post, my psycho neighbors just were evicted, and yes, they had a phone. the new neighbors move in, and now qwest is telling them they have no more available lines, and must bury new cable. hmmm, same song and dance. the problem is actually that qwest doesn’t manage it’s people very well, and they end up a month behind, or more, and make excuses to cover the real problem.

you know, it’s really bad when an internet provider makes no clear satement with their billing, on their website, or with their tech support as to how to disconnect service. a guy i know is trying to disconnect his aol service, and has tried the aforementioned steps, and none of which have led him to a disconnection from aol…hmmm it really is the world’s most circulated virus.
