HAYWARD, CA— Dinesh Parekh, 9, continues to struggle to find a bicycle license plate with his name on it, the Indian-American child reported monday. “This is the third store I’ve checked today,” said a dejected Parekh, exiting a Toys “R” Us near his Hayward home. “Derrick, Diane, Dillon and Dylan, Dirk… no Dinesh.” Parekh, who has pedaled his brand-new Schwinn to more than a dozen stores during his three-week search, said he plans to ask his mother to drive him to the KB Toys in San Leandro next weekend.
aaaaah the freaking onion…
so i leave my computer/tv during heavy news time for few things, but one has always been to go to the bathroom/restroom/latrine. today however it was a little differnet than most. there was a sign on the door reading: broken glass, wear shoes.
so i am thinking, thank you, i would hate to pick up the little peice that is hard to see, then i open the door and there is still glass on the floor, and large peices as well, like it was cleaned up by a five year old, and they still there, 8 hours later.
amazing book that i am reading right now.
gertrude, the lady who lives next door to me, let me borrow it.
she left germany when she was 16 as a refugee (sp?).
she was there during WWII.
“the first thing that dies in a war is truth.”
she not only has one up on most people our age in that she actually studies and pays attention to history, but she has also been able to LIVE it.
she was in germany when hitler was in power.
one claim she makes is in the simularities between hitler and bush and how they address their people.
and how the people respond.
no, i am not saying bush is hitler.
i am saying that we need to pay attention to history a little better.
we need to be careful of taking in every frickin’ thing the mass media gives us.
we are america.
we are happy when the economy is good.
we are pissed when our comforts are restricted.
(bombs away)
