i certainly dont remember what i was going to say.
just felt a need to post it anyway.

whatever her name is…
i feel a bit like gollum, seeing the ring for the first time. and also the last.
i found it, the needle in the haystack, the pinto amongst volkswagen’s.
and for this i am truly grateful.
mr. mark, you’re forgetting an anniversary would’ve been chump change in comparison to my losing my wedding ring.
yep. tonight i lost it.
i put it into my wallet (a small pocket on the inside) and put the wallet into my sportsbag as i got to my softball game, michelle later, unknowing that the ring was inside, opened my wallet, and took a few dollars out. she placed the wallet back in the bag, and on with life we went.
i picked up my bag upon the end of the game, and we drove home, gave ike a bath, and got him ready for bed, i went to my wallet to retrieve my ring, and the most horrible feeling ever coursed thru me. it’s gone.
it’s gone.
it’s not here.
so in the middle of the night, well 11pm, pitch black, armed with a flashlight, we searched for it. and on the multipleth time looking @ the same piece of grass, i found it. unbelievably. i found it.
i’ll sleep tonight.

yes.
that is *probably* the name of my new kitten.
she is about 6 weeks old, was found in a shed after falling onto a friend’s shoulder from the rafters (yes, she is alive), she still has blue eyes, she runs funny because she has no control of her back legs in reference to her front legs (maybe that fall did something to her…), and she is a shorthaired calico tabby type with lots of white. and i love her.
i got to spend a nice late morning/ early afternoon with her, snoozing away on the couch, playing, eating, and watching the bernstein bears on public television. i think she liked them.
