That cajun chef. On PBS.
I gay-RON-tee.
I liked the frugal gourmet too.
cooking shows in general, i miss. though i never so much liked emeril. i enjoyed what he cooked, but never really liked his personality. it wasn’t really the *bam* stuff that he did, no, i enjoyed the liquoring and the spicing. it was when he went quietly into “savant mode” and he’d get his face a few inches away from what he was doing and you could just tell that he’d tuned you out completely. why watch a show where you’re being just being ignored?
and i hated his band.
never much liked julia child either, but i think that’s just because she scared me when i was little.
and what about alton brown? or jamie oliver? and what about martha?for the love of pete! what about them huh?
alton’s a good guy. but the rest… meh.
foodtv’s overrated. and marc summers makes me want to die terrible terrible deaths every hour for eternity.
for the record i care not for martha stewart. however, mr. oliver is alright. it’s probably just that he’s british and says corriander instead of cilantro.

i love watching cooking shows. but you know that the iron chef on the food network is certainly worth at least seeing once in a lifetime
i was going to mention iron chef. then i didn’t. for whatever reason. that is a bright point of foodtv as well.
