he had the other night, t’was pretty interesting, he’s not sure, but he might’ve been gollum. however, it took place in this modern era, in these united states, the midwest, and iowa to be exact. now my description hardly does it justice, it was very very interesting.
why am i talking about this, you ask? well. for the first time in my life, i had a spin-off dream. i had a dream relative to mark’s dream. it took off right in the middle of the journey, however there was a major difference. the difference is that i found every bit of the “quest” hillarious.
“uhm. hey frodo this isn’t middle earth it’s fricking iowa!” and other zingers like, “which one of these mountains is doom? oh wait, nevermind that’s a haystack.”
doesn’t seem all that funny now, but it was quite fantastic during the dream.

this is somewhat rediculous, somewhat funny, mostly frustrating, and all true.
we have a nebraska wireless phone, and a unit called a tellular, which is basically a media converter, to change GSM service into regular dial tone. i should’ve said HAD a neb wireless phone, the grand island office, at least, has been bought out by a company called viaero wireless… ok. story prep finished, now to actual story.
a few months ago we started having troubles with calls not being able to be answered, the caller would be sent to voicemail as if we didn’t answer, while we got dialtone. i called to have the issue resolved, and was told they’d program a new tellular for me, and have it available the next day. upon my arrival at the store, no-one knew what i was talking about. so i left frustrated, until saturday… when my phone service quit alltogether. i called, the new company has no after hours support, no answering service, no trouble report option, infact, i never recieved a return call, to any of the phone numbers i left. so today, after 6 more phone calls, and 5 days of not having a phone, i have a promise that i’ll have a home phone. today. so keep your fingers crossed. and if you’ve called, and i haven’t returned it? well, this is why, and put a sock in it. cuz i don’t really care. ok. well that might’ve been too harsh…
i’m going to be out of the office today. playing golf.
yep, the central community college foundation’s annual golf pro/am is today. guess which one i am? the pro or the am… tough question? i think not.
so yeah, i’m going to be in columbus iffn you want to drive down(no pun intended) to the elk’s golf course and try to pick me out of a group of nearly 200 golfers.(i’m the one in the khaki’s)
*update* it was fun, we didn’t set any records or win any prizes, but it was a good day of not working.
