i would like us for a moment, to become distracted from the rorschach test that mark has given us, and talk about record library fines.
i’d like to hear what your biggest/longest/most expensive fine from our friends with all the books…
why do i ask?
i was given a $3.75 fine last night, and my wife beat me…. a $4.50….
(one book for me, 3 weeks overdue, 2 for her same distance… not sure why the difference in fine rates…)
not sure of an exact amount, but i’m sure it’s over $2. make note of this if you’re going to be using the norfolk library: return late books to the man with the big hair and glasses. he’ll drop any late fee. quite the guy.
i swear i had a library fine of $9.00 or so at the norfolk public library… but i just didnt go until they switched their system over and waved all fees… yes… i can be quite stingy… but it was nice to have it waved (i think it was even that guy you mentioned, mark)
i had one or $.10. that was the funniest thing ever.
it was not the highest fine, but how i reacted was likely the funniest. i will not pay this fine…it is unjust. still had to cough up a dime. NCC and their library of capitalism.
jimmy, you also had one that you helped rack up at the lawrence public library. over 20 cds and some books about 2 weeks late. racking up a massive $12.35 fine. very nice jimmy, i think they bought a couple books on growing pot with that money, we should head back again.
