It appears that the Safari Web Browser is the first to pass the Acid2 test. Acid2 was designed by the Web Standards Project to display improperly in any browser that fails to adhere to W3C standards. An amazing feat, the guy (Dave Hyatt) who fixed the bugs did so in less than a month.
Sorry to post this, I’m sure most of you don’t care, but I thought it was just dandy.
since i use safari at home, it seems like something quite nice to know.
huh. me too. anybody else?
to be honest though, the bug fixes that passed the test are not included in the current version of safari, but they’ll undoubtedly be in a (near) future version.
oh yeah i go on safari’s all the time. me and my trusty sidekick steve.
honestly i’m not “adamant” about internet browsers. i know i don’t like and won’t ever like netscape. so that causes me trouble sometimes tho.
Hating netscape is no problem. It’s encouraged. What’s not encouraged though, is ignoring Firefox. At least on the PC. I’d have to say that I use Firefox less than the rest of my browsers on my Mac. Safari’s coming along nicely, and OmniWeb … well, I’d use that all the time, except that it’s not free.
I don’t have much to say to people still using IE though. Well, much to say, but nothing that they’d like to hear.
