So I’ve been “over here”:http://buzz.research.yahoo.com/bk/index.html investing in Hurricane Rita. I’ve been intrigued for the past week with virtual exchanges like this. I figure it’s better than trading stock in illicit drugs, like I’ve done in the past. A tad more realistic too, with the market being influenced by reality instead of a fake storyline.
Unless, that is, you consider popular news items to be a “fake storyline”, which I’m not ready to rule out.
*Update:* Cashed in on “Rita”:http://buzz.research.yahoo.com/bk/market/market.html?_mid=28944&_ono=11, bought some “Katrina”:http://buzz.research.yahoo.com/bk/market/market.html?_mid=28944&_ono=5 due to it bottoming out. Dumped the Katrina after making $160, and after chiding myself for being such a pansy, re-invested in Rita because it started climbing again.
